Eco Aqua EFF-6005A/ 5231JA2002A is the LG replacement  filter that has replaced the LT500P, 5231JA2002B, AP250R & WF290 Premium Fridge Water Filters.

Suitable for: The Eco Aqua EFF-6005A/ 5231JA2002A filter is suitable for LG side by side fridges. It is a short round filter for installation vertically within the fridge.

This water filter replaces: The 5231JA2002A fridge filter for LG fridges replaces or is compatible with filter part numbers:

 LT500P, 5231JA2002B, AP250R, WF290.

Eco Aqua EFF-6005A/ 5231JA2002A Installation

 Before installing water filter

1. Take out the top shell and move it to the lower part. Remove the lamp cover by pressing the protrusion under the cover and pulling the cover to the front.

2. Remove the filter substitute cap by turning it counter clockwise by 90 degrees and pulling it down. Remove the red cap from the filter and attach the sticker. Insert the upper part of the filter and fasten it by turning it clockwise by 90 degrees.

Note: Check that the guideline and the fastening indication line are aligned.

Replacement of water filter

3. While holding the lower part of the filter, turn it counter clockwise by 90 degrees and pull it down.

Note: Check that the guideline and the loosening indication line are aligned.

After installing water filter

4. Replace the lamp cover and the top shelf. In order to clean the water filter system, drain water for about 5 min.

When to change a filter

 There is a replacement indicator light for the water filter cartridge on the dispenser. The filter cartridge should be replaced when the filter light comes on, or every 6 months, or if you notice a decrease in flow of water.

Once replaced, we suggest flushing Eco Aqua EFF-6005A/ 5231JA2002A for a couple of minutes.
